Now they're using google translate and quoting him on the translation. They keep getting better.

At least now he will have a reason to play so badly.
He should become a comedian like his Dad.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

I hear this might end his golfing career.

During the broadcast of the Shell Open, Johnny Miller (idiot) brought up the accident, and said that severed finger isn't too bad and he can continue to play golf, because he can overlap onto his middle finger instead, and the index finger isn't necessarily needed.

Jim Furyk plays with a double overlap grip so it's definitely doable!

It's doable, but assuming you did miss that finger, it would be unlike your natural grip, which I imagine for a professional is huge change and would take years to get your game back to what it was before, if at all possible.

Saying something like "don't worry, you can still swing a golf club" instead of "hopefully it's not as severe and we wish you a speedy recovery" just seems like a douchey move. But I hate Johnny Miller so maybe I'm being overly harsh?
