Where to work in your spare time?
If you had to get a second job to work at in your spare time, some evenings and some weekends, to keep you from being bored more than anything (the money is a bonus) what would you do? And, it is to be worked at mostly in the colder months because there is lots to do during the summer to keep you occupied. It also has to be something reasonable, ie: you can't become a pilot all of a sudden. Thoughts?

What kind of small business?
Massage therapist would require going back to school. I was thinking of something that could be learnt on the job.Born to Golf Forced to Work

What kind of business totally depends on your skillset. My dad was a DJ on weekends. I started OttawaGolf while working full time as a photographer.
You want something that you enjoy doing so building it is fun, like a hobby. It's a good approach for a situation like you describe if you can come up with something. You just want something to do when you have time and small businesses take time to grow. You can work at an easy pace and if it grows devote more time to it.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

seriously, I could see a part time job at golf town, just because i would find it interesting and have a sales background.

I've often thought about a pt job at GT too but my club addiction might go too far.

I've always had a part time job playing music since 1968 so for me its kind of normal. Practicing a few times a week and playing 2 and 3 times was demanding at times and its a good thing I have an understanding wife. Now that I am retired, I still gig as much as I can. Pays for the golf membership and my addiction to equipment.

Well, depending on your skill sets and interests Home Depot are always looking for mature knowledgable associates. Always impressed when I go in there and deal with the mature guys and gals who appreciate what good service is and the value of a $. Thought I'd try it when I retired, but got a better offer elsewhere. Down side for me (former cubicle dweller) was the amount of time on my feet. Good luck.

Golftown, Home Depot, Senators......
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

I've also thought about Golftown. That Jeff dude at Golf-O-Max has a pretty sweet gig as well. Working at Scotiabank Place may also be pretty neat. A honorable mention would be to do whatever the heck Nokids does.
My name is Paul. And I'm a golfaholic.

GolfTown or Henrys to benefit both addictions. Maybe Wallacks. I'd work somewhere that I enjoy, and would hate to have to choose to work somewhere because I have to.
