Pain now part of Tiger's game

A twinge here and an ache there are now part of the daily grind for the once-dominant Tiger Woods as he seeks to find his fitness and form ahead of the Masters.

Feel bad for the guy. It's a lot like what most of us over 35 go through to play each round, except we play for fun and don't have gazillions of dollars in the bank, personal trainers and doctors to help us rehabilitate injuries with... uh... 'blood spinning'.

I love it. A Tiger post can't go by without a hater taking a shot at him.

I love it too. Not a thread goes by where someone can say something even remotely negative about Woods without some rabid fan calling them a 'hater'.
If he'd just shut up and play golf instead of coming up with constant excuses you might have something to actually cheer about again.
Look at Phil Mickelson... he's older than Tiger, has to take medication for chronic arthritis, had both his wife and mother go through breast cancer scares recently, and I'm sure he wakes up with the occasional ache and pain himself.
Not only does he not complain about it, he actually takes time out of his busy schedule to sign an autograph now and then.

Let me get this straight, Tiger gets blasted by the media for not telling everyone one about the injuries he had in the past and now that he is coming out and saying that he is having some injury issues this is wrong also??? guess he cant win on that one!

Ive seen Tiger signing autographs all the time in the last year. Such a double standard for this guy. And yes Phil did also talk about his injuries and Arthritis as well.

Ah well......I still want to see him return to the top. It's so exciting to watch a Tiger-charge on Sunday FTW - and it's been too long!

Criticize Tiger or blow sunshine up his butt, knock yourself out either way, but enough with the 'hater' talk or other personally directed comments.

Valid points for sure. I guess that I was referring more to personality and character traits than anything else. Please don't equate not liking him with hating him. I like Steve Stricker - seems like good guy, the kind of person one might like to have as a friend. Can't say the same about TW.

Tiger certainly was the best player in the world at one time, and has provided golf fans with many exciting moments with his play, however, he is just one of the boys now until he proves otherwise, although he was as good today as Jimmy Walker.

Yeah Tiger has brought millions to the game... now he's driving them away. The Lord giventh and the Lord taketh away I guess
Club sales are way down, golf courses are struggling for green fees and yet Tiger has brought the game to millions...
I don't hate the guy, but I'm definitely not drinking the rose-colored Kool-Aid either.

You're right....Tiger's struggles is driving club sales down and golf course revenues....it has absolutely nothing to do with the state of the world economy over the past couple of years. *rolls eyes*

Age waits for no one, he is still relatively young, besides the overzealous over the top media love for Tiger, he has proven to be one tough cookie, mentally and physically. I do not think he will ever use an injury as a crutch (lol) and he is likely going through what the greater portion of pros on the PGA in that age group also go through, injuries!
