Casselview Update #2
Played again yesterday. Greens were a bit better, slowly progressing. Fairways were still soggy in some spots. Once it dries up it will be much more fun to play. I'm at Vieux Moulins Friday, hope it's slightly better!!

Champlain wasn't too bad for this time of year. The problem holes are soggy, especially #6, the greens are punched, but the grass looked good and I didn't have a huge problem staying out of puddles. Just a little soggy.

Played the Marshes this morning and it isn't bad, greens roll nice but are slow as heck and there's a ton of plugs in the fairway still from the end of the season last year. I'd go back.

The lack of yardage markers is troubling though.

Only got to play North at Manderley (there is 18 holes open-a mixed front from Central/South) but it is in great shape. Fairways were very good for this time of year, the same if not a little better than Prescott imo and the greens were smooth and ran really nice.

I agree for the Canadian. Greens are very nice, not as nice as Presscot, fairways are the best so far, pretty dry for the most and really green.
45.00 for week day morning.

Anderson
Played back 9 @ Anderson this AM. Some wet spots, but overall in good condition. Greens a bit slow, but otherwise very nice for March.

The first hole is a temporary par 3, at 120 yds with a flag in the fairway. Course was okay, greens were pretty good for this time of the year, and wet in a few areas....

Eagle Hunter asked about Cedarhill. Has anyone been out there yet? I was thinking about heading there in the morning.

Thanks Bogeygolf. I have a tee time for tomorrow, was just trying to figure out if its worth playing.. It's 5 mins from home but if Manderley, Calabogie etc are far better I may just cancel.
Cheers,Just another lefty....

It was March and 27 degrees when we were playing, so it was all good. The greens were in pretty good shape, they were starting the groom the bunkers with the tractor. We played from the blues and some of the par 4's are over 400 yds from the tips. At this time of the year, all you hope for is puttable greens(which they are), the fairways and stuff are still winter dormant and just starting to come aound.

You may want to call calabogie to make sure the whole 18 is open, thought I read some posts about it not all being open, maybe that was just last weekend, or I read it wrong....

I snuck in a quick 9 holes on the back 9 of Premiere. Fantastic spring conditions on that 9. Greens in fine condition, rolling nicely. Fairways a bit squishy in places but no standing water anywhere that's really in play. Only a couple of plugged drives that I hit pretty high to begin with. I can't speak to the front 9, but I would expect things to be a bit wetter given the poorer drainage.

Played Greensmere Premiere yesterday, both nines, and agree, that the greens and fairways are in great condition. A few fairways are squishy, but no casual water, as defined in the rule book, and no wet feet. Dry enough for the fairways to be cut.

WOW--sounds like I can stop for a quick round anywhere on my way home from South Carolina
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?
