Shaft length for 3 wood and hybrid?

    My driver is 44.5"

I've got 2 shafts for my 15 degree 3 wood and 19 degree hybrid, I'm thinking of cutting the 3 wood to 42.5 and the hybrids standard length is 41 so I'll leave that..

Would this be the right decision? Is there a rule of thumb ...

    Any help would be great

My driver is 44.5 and my 3 wood is 43. I find that there is still enough gap between the two.
Even I've never heard of me

Minimum 1.5" between the driver and your next longest club.

    Thanks guys,

    I'm going with 42.5" 15 degree 3 wood

    39.5" 19 degree hybrid

For swing weight, do you want it the same as the driver? Can they be couple sw's off?

How tall are you? Wrist to floor measurement?

Are you shortening for control or just to try something else?

SW can be a few points off +/- 2 otherwise you'll 'feel' a difference ( ie: head heavy or head light ).

With the driver length now i feel more confident at address, hitting more fairways and much more consistent ball to face impact, 45 and plus drivers just felt really far from the ball, and never confident on ball flight.

178 cm tall I think that's 5'11 and 35" from floor to wrist.
