Thanks for confirming for me, Bubba. I hope ProTee will figure it out. It puts a bit of a damper on a great course.

I as well just emailed them. As we know Protee are quick to respond.

That makes sense - it's exactly how I built the lie penalties into my interface. I used "screen scraping" to grab a screenshot of the portion of the screen that shows the lie, then I recognize that (against stored samples) and set up penalties by lie description (bunker, lie, etc.). I expect ProTee is doing something similar.

Got a response from Protee and it will be fixed in the next update.

I didn't see much difference with the update. How about you Bubba?

The new update mentions that it has tuned the clubhead speed. Have you tested this with your swing speed radar yet Bubba? I found my sand and gap wedges were about 10% too much and the driver about 5% higher with the old update.

Not yet psace but will tesy this weekend. I got an email from Protee today and they will get the Augusta done first thing Monday. They thought they had it with the last update but the bunkers in Augusta are labelled as sand. It sounds like its just a software addition for them. I will check the swing speed tommorrow.

The latest update has fixed the bunker problem at Augusta for the ProTee simulator. I can't believe they worked on the weekend to fix it. Kudos to the crew at ProTee!

Just got that update as well. I got an email from Protee saying they fixed a few courses which were labelled different by the designers as Sand, Bunker sand etc just as RDH had pointed out. Kudos to you Psace for finding this out. Great work by Protee and very fast update!!

Thanks, Bubba. It will make Augusta much more playable. It really freaked me out the first time I played the course. I haven't played many courses yet so will appreciate this fix when I get there.

who has used the sand/rough with gc2? Does it simulate the shots very good? Seems fiberbuilt rough is well liked? What about the realfeel rough and mat?

I did buy a fiberbuilt 'sand mat'. It is not like any bunker I have been into.

No sand simulation is perfect. I like how Protee have adjusted the percentage to mimick the speed needed through the sand.

I agree Bubba. You can adjust the settings in ProTee so the sand shots end up like they would on the course. Not the same feel but the same result.
