It will be nice. Definitely a step up from having it at a sports centre. However, no way is the airport located CECentre "a centrally located facility that is easy to access no matter where you are in the Ottawa-Gatineau region."

That is terrific news. Finally somewhere where I can be sure of a parking space.

I agree with true north, parking has always been an embarrassment at the OAC.... About time its at a real facility, not on tennis courts.

The Golf Expo is 2 months away and there is almost no information on the website, this does not bode well.
And no lists of exhibitors.Obviously you're not a golfer.

I just talked to Sarah Allen, NGCOA Canada, Events Coordinator from the company that owns the Ottawa Golf Expo. Tickets will be $12. Most golf companies won't commit until mid February, so no idea who will be there right now. Just keep watching the website.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Won't be many golf equipment companies I wouldn't think, just your usual mix of local courses and tour operators.

Cobra, Callaway, Adams, Taylormade, Clevland and one other manufacturer were there last year.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Really? I don't think I've been in a few years, maybe I'll have to check it out again. Really like the new location too.

You could just go to Golftown in a few weeks to see the new stuff for 2012, but it wouldn't be the same as being at the show.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

It will be nice to be at a new facility, I am told there will be a lot more space than the OAC tennis courts had. However, I am also told that parking won't be free, no confirmation on this though.

Tickets $14, they seem to go up every year.
I will probably go just to see the reps and the new equipment.
And to say HI to Kilroy of course.Obviously you're not a golfer.

I knew parking would be an issue out there before they even built the place. Now you have pay $7 for a small lot. The Lululemon sale ran out of spots right away a few weeks ago and people were parking illegally all over Uplands Drive. What a stupid parking plan they have out there.
Well now that it is $21 and there is almost no chance of getting a parking spot I doubt I will be going.
Edit: I just checked out the CE Centre website, they say they have 1800 ground level parking spots. I am still not sure that would be enough.Obviously you're not a golfer.

Hello, I have now been to the CE Centre for 3 different shows - Home Renovation show - Funtorium Explorium and Sportsman show. The home renovation show was the same weekend as the Lulu lemon but I went on the Saturday. Had no problem whatsoever getting a parking spot and the lot is huge. However, the media was still saying you couldn't get near the place based on the backups from Friday, which was not true at all, and too bad for the show organizers as I am sure people stayed away just from the bad press.
