Is Sony the only company that currently makes a true 4k projector, which are very expensive? Also, I believe that the current batch are all for home theatre, with the exception of the ultra short throw that was recently announced? JVC has what they call a 4k projector, but believe that it is not true 4k and even though you can get a top rated one for under $5k it is again designed for home theatre. Given that there are barely any 1080p projectors that work well with golf sims, I suspect it will be a long wait to enjoy a true 4k image.

Yes, Foresight's new software is completely different than the Red Chain or the CG3, so you will not be able to transfer the courses.
Hopefully there will be more 4K projectors coming out (and with decent throw ratios and lumens), but more importantly a way for the existing or new 4:3 or 1080P projectors to have the upscale option.
