Foresight GC2 Firmware and HW Versions
GC2 Owners - doesn't seem like foresight has a forum / website that announces their new firmware and hw versions. Like to use this thread for us to identify a new releases.
I recently purchased a unit and the firmware is 2.1.3 and the hw version is 3. Curious if anyone has anything more current.

TheGolfer
How is the GC2 doing?
are you happy that it is giving the correct data, the shape of shots etc?
are you aware when the club face addition is being released?

Hot off the press - the HMT's MSRP is $4995!
There is no availability right now, but I can't wait to test it out in Florida at the end of this month!
You can pre-order yours with the system here:
http://www.par2pro.com/shop/product_...roducts_id=109
Or on its own here:

$5K is not too bad. The real question is how much for the reflective or white stickers to mark the clubs? I will not pay more than $4.99 for a year's worth of stickers. You got to draw the line somewhere...

I don't quite understand. Is the HMT an item that must be added to a GC2 to give it extra capability? Or, is it a standalone system that can function in place of a
GC2? All will be answered in a few weeks at PGA.

The HMT is their head measuring technology which is an add on to the GC2 unit to measure what the clubhead is doing (path, speed, face angle, angle of attack etc) You need to stick markers on the club for it to work. It is NOT a stand alone unit and works only with the GC2.

Thanks! I was thrown off by the "system" price from Par2Pro which is less than the GC2 plus the HMT.

The $4,995.00 is just for the HMT. Cory should clearify that to avoid confusion. He sells the base GC2 unit for $8,490.00.

HUGE NEWS GUYS.... I just got the latest news from Foresight Sports on what they are releasing at the PGA Show this week and I am allowed to leak out one of the releases:
NEW COURSE SOFTWARE ADDITION! OK, this may not sound that exciting at first, BUT, when you SEE the new course software your jaw may just drop open as mine did. REALLY! I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THIS!!!
I'll make posts of videos after each day at the show this upcoming week, so be sure to check out the Par2Pro YouTube Channel. I will also post the link of the software and pricing as soon as I can
Happy Golfing!

You might be right bubba22. Interesting that they would beat Red Chain to the punch. I wonder how long they've been working on this? And to keep it so quiet. Competition is good.

Wow - excited to get more info here.
At first I thought it had to be a demo of the new red chain engine with 1 course that they have created/converted over. I thought someone mentioned hearing they were getting a demo of new engine for the PGA show in a thread a while back.
Based on RDH's comments recently in his talks with Dean of Red Chain and not having a screenshot of the new engine ready for a few months this doesn't seem likely, though.

The iPad and iPhone apps for the GC2 are now up on iTunes. It will be pretty lame if the screenshot shown is all it does, but I heard more should be coming.

OK, just got confirmation on the software and that I can leak this out to y'all...
THE NEW SOFTWARE IS 3D GOLF DESIGN - You can check it out at:
http://www.3dgolfdesign.com/
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT ON THE BIG SCREEN!!!
Keep your eyes open for posts of the PGA Videos I will be taking this week. I will probably post them in a new thread in the General section.
Cheers,
Cory

Wow augusta!!!
Cory just looked at the 3Dgolfdesign.com site, I think this is what I have been waiting for. Augusta looks very impressive! E6 lookout, you got some serious competition plus 3D has AUGUSTA!

Hey All,
I just got the news that I was originally misinformed - the software is not the 3D Creative Golf as per the link I had posted, but it is this software:
http://www.datacrea.sk/index-en.php
No to take away from the new software, but that explains a lot about the graphics at the show in the video I took.
I apologize to everyone for any confusion.
PS: There is still not estimated availability date on this software.
