Heating garage / basement for sim use?

For those that have their sim setup in a garage or unfiinished basement do you use any special portable heating during the cold months?

My sim is in a room in the house but the practice greens are in an unfinished basement. Gets a little chilly in winter. Was thinking about some type of portable heater from home depot but not sure if they are really safe or not or if they make a difference.

    thanks.

I have my sim in a heated garage. I use a dimplex electric heater (about $150) which very adequately heats my 450 square foot space. I wired it directly to the electric panel with a separate line.

very cool, and nice price point. do you get them at any home depot? are there different types compared with electric versus other technology - anyone particular onces safer. Electric sounds safe. thanks.

You can get them anywhere. They are rated at 240. So you want a dedicated line to the heater. I had mine straight wired to the heater.

I have an unfinished basement and I find that I don't need a heater. Not for golf anyway.

i have gas heat. does that mean it uses the same natural gas from the heater or it just draws the warm air from the heater? my basement is a little big. can you connect more than one to the heater with any harm to either equipment? thanks.

You might be able to have a heating guy rough you in a couple of vents for what it will cost to purchase the electric heater.
