Going to HHI for Christmas and will try to get a round every day (24-31 Dec). I see Cresent Pointe and Eagle's Pointe for $39.00 and Hilton Head National for $54.99 on Golf Now . Will there be better deals when I am down there or is this as good as I can expect? Anything else reasonable I should have a look at?
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Hey Sab----ask for the deals--------if you don't ask--they will not tell you. Check the local paper on Wednesday. Hilton Head National is a nice course---Eagles Point is OK--Island West OK as well. Don't bother with Golden Bear but Country Club of Hilton Head is nice. Palmetto Dunes and Shipyard as well as Port Royal. Ask about the conditions prior and again ask about unadvertised specials. Rose Hill maybe for 25.00 plus a box of balls------they usually have a good special---course not the greatest, but what the hell---your golfing and we are shovling.

We bought a Club Key Book last year-2 for 98.00--available at Golf Headquarters near Pope Circle. You can go on-line now and check out the prices. The ONLY way you beat these prices is to stay on a resort with "golf in"

There are also the 3 courses in Sea Pines but they are over-rated for the prices.

We are going back for Feb and March. This will be our 6th year--every year the golf gets cheaper because we learn more. The island IS geared for the tourist

You might check for overseeding--topdressing and aeration.
