    Thru-Bore design

I hate Thru Bore irons and Uniflex shafts. Such a pain in the ass to get new shafts installed in them. Uniflex shafts are the bain of my existence; total crap.
I am on my second set of these irons, X-16 and now X-22. My son has 2004 Big Berthas with thru bore as well. I have to send them to California to get them re-shafted by Callaway.
I would do it myself but thru bore is a little too advanced for my club building skills at the moment. Has anyone got Callaway Thru Bore irons re-shafted locally?
I have talked to Callaway and doing this and it voids the warranty.
Callaway only offer DG, Project X and KBS shafts.
My fault for not ordering better shafts at time of purchase.
Wishon will be getting my money next time I order new irons.
Until then I think I will put my KZG Evolutions back into the gamer bag.
You can't buy a better game but I can sure as hell buy better shafts, as long as they aren't for thru bore heads.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

A few years ago, i had my X-18's uniflex steel shafts reshafted with graphite shafts pulled from a set of Big Bertha irons(i think). Chieflongtee did the work and a great job

Hilarious, my shaft problem could be solved.
I just talked to a local club pro and he is selling some used X-20's with Project X 6.0's in them.
I might have a new set of irons on the weekend with the shafts I want.

OK I am going to stick with the crappy Uniflex shafts for now.
Putting in new shafts is just not cost effective.
I will play my KZG Evolutions with steel FST shafts next season as much as possible.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.
