Orlando in February
Hi,
My wife and I are planning a trip in the first half of February in Orlando. It won't be strictly a golf trip, but we plan to play probably 4 or 5 rounds.
Can anyone suggest some nice courses in and around Orlando? Ideally, I'd like excellent courses for very low cost but... I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount to play a good quality course.
Thanks.

Like a lot of destinations the closer to Orlando you are the more $$$ you pay.a couple of out of town places We have played include Black Bear, Diamond Players Club(North west) Diamondback and Grenlefe(surroundings a little tired but course OK) ....south Haines city area ,and near the airport North Shore and Eagle Creek .Sometimes in the Orlando Sentinel there are coupons for discounts and check Internet for Specials.Check out www.golfus.com

Celebration Golf Club is an excellent facility. When I was there a couple of years ago, I payed $50.00. It was well worth the money.

Try Black Bear. It's a Pete Dye gem about 45 minutes from Orlando. Very few houses have been built and the prices are very reasonable. We booked through Tee Times USA and got a great deal in November.
Tee Times USA can usually get you on the Disney courses for way less than the rack rate.
