Clones
I just opened my OG session and saw the '' Valleyviewgolf banner'' which I clicked on to see that they're offering ''custom clubs '' which are nothing else than clones , and it is said very openly on the site.
My point is that a few weeks ago I put an add in the classifieds section saying that my brother bought clubs without knowing that they were clones and he wanted to sell them.
So at his request I put the add letting know the potentials buyers that they were clones, and very nice one. I wasn't trying to screw anyone cause i was saying what they were buying.
It was a great deal for a week end golfer.
The problem i have is that my post was deleted because i was told that we're not suppose to offer counterfeit clubs.
But today i see that OG advertise a site who sells clones when forum's users don't have the right to do itLast edited by spackler; 10-29-2011 at 06:07 PM. Reason: Removed the price and club types, not relevant to the thread

Clones are not counterfiets. If they are falsely labeled as brand name clubs, then they are.

There is a difference between 'clones' and what you tried to post, which were counterfeit clubs. Clones only attempt to look the same as brand name clubs, they don't pretend to be them. Clones carry the brand of the company that makes them. Counterfeit clubs, like the ones you tried to offer, are illegal. They present themselves as genuine brand name clubs. You should throw them out. Even if you advertise them as unauthentic, who's to say that the person who buys them from you will do the same when they sell them?

From the RCMP Web Site (http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/fep-pelf/i.../guide-eng.htm):
"For our purposes the term counterfeiting includes both trademark and copyright infringement.
For enforcement purposes a counterfeit product includes any type of property, data, information, digital file or goods including containers, packaging or labeling that has been produced, manufactured or otherwise created in violation of copyright or trademark law.
It includes any type of property featuring, bearing, embodying or incorporating a copyright or trademark without the permission or authority of the rights holder. "Last edited by Kiwi; 10-29-2011 at 09:53 PM. Reason: info verification
