I find myself running out of room pretty easy. 70 messages seems pretty slim these days. Would it break the bank to up this limit? I mean, I can live with it, but if it's just some ghost of the past that lingers on into these modern times, is it time to loosen the noose a bit?

For several thousand members 70 should be plenty. Just archive it from time to time if you need to save them.

Remember to empty out your sent messages as well.

I have pack-rat/hoarding tendencies. If you have not used it in a year, do you really need it? In the case of messages, once the issue is resolved, trash it... IMHO.
