Vijay Euro Player of the Year???
Okay, the fish are jumpin' so its time to open another can of worms!
While the "Vijay or Tiger" thread gradually degenerated into yet another "Tiger Etiquette" debate, the European Tour named Vijay Singh as the "European Tour Player of the Year":

Okay, Vijay certainly deserved PGA Player of the Year. Maybe deserved it last year too. But Europe? He only played 4 events in Europe and his highest finish was T9 at HSBC Match Play! WTF???
Yeah, I know all the majors count towards the European Order of Merit. But geez, when you hand out the top award for your tour surely you gotta give it to someone who actually plays there!Golf is a game invented by the same people who think music comes out of bagpipes.

Nope
I disagree with his selection. It should be awarded to someone who plays on the tour more than that. There should be a minimum number he should play to win POY. :shake
Apparently he is only an "honourary" member of the european tour??I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

I agree with Steve, 4 events should not make you eligible to be POY....but good for VJ.

As you can see, all of these guys are regulars on the European Tour.Golf is a game invented by the same people who think music comes out of bagpipes.

Giving this to Vijay is nuts. I bet the real European players are not impressed.

It certainly doesn't show any loyalty to their players.
It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.
