Tell me WHY we are even talking about this? Head shots are NOT part of the game. Period! The only reason they exist is because the NHL powers allow it. I was never part of the game until the NHL expanded, mainly in the USA, and were looking for some way to capture an audience share with Americans unfamiliar with the game. What better way, fighting (Enforcers) and inevitibly head shots. The cost is not worth it and it is destroying the Canadian game as well as too many lives.

lol, I like the comment that they should ban players from shooting at the goalies mask. Really, there is always going to be shots to the head with the size differences in the players. Some "legal" and some not. If you ban all head shots the game could become soft and why not do no contact hockey? These guys are grown men and make there own decisions and are pretty well compensated for what they "chose" to do for a living. Keeping you head up and watching where guys are around you as well as softening the equipment would go a long way to having fewer concussions imo.

Most of us would rather watch a Crosby than a hired assassin.
