I would buy it but I tried 2 at GT and they were not mapped properly for the Canadian where I am a member. Great interface though.

Yah, most courses are mapped well, but occasionally you get a bad course mapping and the yardages can be off by 6-8 yards. More often than not, the yardages are quite good, usually within 0-3 yards. I played Greyhawk today, and the yardages were pretty much spot on all day. Occasionally downloading updated course mappings helps a lot - I update the courses I play at the beginning of the season. I neglected to mention in my orig. posting that the cable is included with the unit, plugs into your PC and you can automatically sync with latest course mapping updates. I'll tell you what, OGers, I'll sync all Ottawa area courses this evening so you'll have the latest and greatest mappings on the unit when it's sold.

I'll be frank - I'm selling because I want to get a laser rangefinder - the accuracy of lasers is (as we all know) more accurate than GPS units. But for 1/3 the price of a laser rangefinder, this unit is plenty accurate for all but the lowest handicappers.
