    Ping i15 Driver?

Looking at this and wondering if anyone's carrying one at the moment.

I've currently got a G5, and am looking to 'get with the times' ...

My latest driver shopping ended with the G20 - it's a beast, and it only seems to want to send the ball straight.

I demoed the i15 and when you hit it it feels great but it really lacked in forgiveness for me. It just didn't give me much on mis-hits. I'd suggest trying the i15 and the g15 and comparing if you like the Ping look.

I dint find it as unfOrgiving as many people state and I am an 11 handicap. I think it depends on how you miss. If your miss is a hook then this is prob the driver for you. I ended up getting the g15 and I am missing with over draws on very good hits so maybe I made the wrong choice but well see.

A buddy of mine who is a 4 capper got the i15 and didn't care for it...then got the K15 and just loves it. Best driver he hit in years and he has gone thru a lot of drivers. I think the K15 helps a lot if you have a fade to your ball flight.

If you're interested in an i15...think my buddy is selling his.

I agree, in fact I traded a like new R-11 for the G-20. It is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Althour I currently have an R-9 in my bag because my buddy is using my G-20.

I will admit that I have to be careful that I do not hook it when I do hit the G-20 as that face is closed up a little.

I recently switched to a k15, and I am loving this thing. My miss has usually been a hook, but I could always hit a slice when I wanted to. Now I just set up for a slice and this thing manages to keep it straight. It also must be "vanity-lofted" because I am smashing it way higher than my previous titleist driver whch was allegedly only 1 degree less loft. Whatever the combo, its working for me.

Same here - when I rip at it, the 20 hits a svage hook. I ended up goin another route - the head is hot though. The I-15 I tried had a much more stable shaft in it than the G's, so it was actually more forgiving for me - I always had a nice contact. Distance-wise, they're all pretty comparable.

I tried out my sons I15 more than dozen times and it was harder to hit than the G20. Hands down the the G20 is more forgiving. He sold his a few months ago and now is hitting a Cobra LV5 way better and way longer than the I15.It is for better players for sure.
