Good customer service!
Hi fellow golfers,
I was wondering, should a golf course be honest and tell you they are punching their greens before they let you book a starting time, or should they be allowed to say nothing, let you show up and expect you to play and pay full price? Your thoughts?Adams clubs work for me!!!!!!!!!

at the very least have a sign posted outside the clubhouse / proshop & if they keep their website up to date posting an advisory would be good too

No-brainer. If they cannot give you a break on the price then they should fore-warn you.

I am on a few e-mail lists for the Florida Courses that I play when I am there, and not only do they warn you very e-mail, but they use it to run deals, I regularly get e-mails advertising 50% tee times when Greens are recently punched... never saw that here in Ontario!

Stonebridge did try to warn about the punched greens...i got an email from Stonebridge about a week before the punching and they were offering a break on the price during the week of the punching. Also, it was posted on this forum:

As mentioned above, I'm not sure why you say you didn't get a break. Green fees at stonebridge have been $40 since they punched the greens. When I played on Sunday, they were back to being pretty good, since they had been done back on Monday and Tuesday. Also, while I was in the pro shop, they were informing everyone who called to book a time about both the greens and the special price.

Stonebridge
Played yesterday for $40 , the greens were bumpy , as predicted , but the rest of the course is in great condition.
Give it another week and it'll be in top shape. At the end of the day ... It gets dark
