Pretty sure my model is an 8330. Does anyone know how to enable texting of more than 140 characters? I have texts come to me that arrive in 2 or 3 sections of the same message and my friend tells me they just kept typing.

But when I reach 140 characters I have to send that portion then re-start a new text to continue my message. I've searched the options, perhaps I'm looking in the wrong spot?

Geoff, you might have to get an apps that will let you type more than 140 characters... Using BBM you will be able to type as much as you want.

I believe you need BBs that support OS v6 or higher to do this (i.e. newer BBs). Otherwise, check BB appworld for 3rd party apps (appworld.blackberry.com).

Even if you are able to create more than 140 chars in a single text, it would still cost you for more than 1.
