    changing paintfill in California Series

I dont even have the putter yet, but if I pay $300+ for a club, I want it just the way I want it.

Can someone share with the best way to change the paintfill on a putter. It seems like it would be quite easy, simply paint in all the lettering, not worrying about missing the lines, etc... then wipe off the excess with a solvent or something?

Really interested in hearing about any experiences or actually products used for this type of application.

    Thanks...

check out these sites. I just tried it on a Rife putter...i found the enamel paint was easier than the acrylic to work with. Not sure if i would try it first on a brand new Scotty....test out your color schema on a old putter if you can. Good luck!

I've done it to a couple - model paint works great....and pretty much as you suggest. your fingernail also works pretty good to help get rid of the overpainting...
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I've found that the key is the back of a matchbook, or some other light cardboard to take the excess off before it dries...makes clean up a lot easier.
