Fall get-a-way
Hi guys---looking for a new destination for our fall get-a-way..tired of the laurentians and inflated prices.
We did go to Malone for their special and enjoyed the 2 days...but would pay the extra for the Holiday Inn accomodation. Has anyone played Tupper Lake Golf Course or the Sananac Inn Club and can you compare the courses. We have been told we can add a third game to the package---good golf --good food and friendly people. Good dollar value in my opinion.Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

With the current exchange, its hard not to consider the states. I've heard nothing but good things about turning stone. Looks like they have a wide range of packages http://turningstone.com/promotions/i...ctpreview=golf not necessarily cheap, but I think it represents a really good value.

I remember watching a tournament on TV last year that was held at Turning Stone, I believe it was the Nationwide Tour? Either way, must be good if they played there

Check out the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid for golf package specials. I've not personally been there, but have many friends who have, and all report favourably on the accomodations, food and most importantly the golf!

Golf trip does not necessarily mean that you have to spend too much. There are discounted all inclusive packages as well as stay and play offers that will allow you to save money. Use the resources online when you start your search for a golf deal.
Have a great golf vacation my friend...

Myrtle Beach should be at the top of your list.

I went 3 times.
7 hours drive only from Ottawa and Gettysburg is a drytownship so they don't sell beer or wine but it's better cause you bring your own wine at dinner and they put your 6 pack on ice after the round.
I forgot to tell you that they have 2 great courses and excellent food.
Great service

i want to do a golf long weekend next year (turning 40!) I'm thinking of turning stone or maybe even whistling straits after jvincent's super photo shoot there, or bandon dunes. So far, turning stone has the edge because its easily driveable, but I've also heard good things about Lake Placid.

Saratoga Springs, we played The Sagamore ( just a little north near Lake George, good stop on the way down ) and Saratoga Spa golf course, there is a couple of more golf courses, both look pretty nice and I will golf at my next trip down, i've been down there in the fall while school is in ( there is a private college in town ) so good nightlife, I booked through New York Golf Trail
