    Question Wet Basement

Need someone reputable to assess and repair my wet basement. Thought I'd be lucky and have only a foundation crack to seal, but today's rains have revealed other leaks around old tie-rod holes. I'm guessing it's the drain tile (1975). Anyone have a good experience with a contractor on a similar problem? Thanks in advance.

check eaves troughs for blockage, check for daylight visible between the eaves and fascia. make sure downspouts direct water away from house, add extensions or splash plates if required. Is the eavestrough running on the proper slope? (1/2" for every 10' of run) Make sure the grade of your yard slopes away from your foundation. are there any window wells for the basement windows? if so is there alot of obstructions in them? your weeping tile tie-ins under the window well might be blocked, broken or non-existent. Are there any BIG trees close to your house? could the roots have obstructed the weepers of cracked the foundation? always start up (roof) and work your way down. If you have any questions or want me to take a look ill send you my number.

I'll PM you in the next day, but most of the first items you mention up to "the grade" were done before the water seepage. Slope/material is a question as well as the window well.
