Somewhere around 20 however my wife and I had our first child in May so golfing was limited to weekends this year.
Lots of yoga pants these days, not enough Yoga!

Ahh the changes a kid brings

Well having experienced first-hand this year the changes a young one brings, it'll no doubt affect your playing schedule but nonetheless, make time for golf. Schedule it in advance and stick to it. You'll have to be nice to your significant other who'll no doubt want to have time to herself.

I went from 50-60 rounds to approximately 40 this year; the majority of those being during the day and selected weekends.

    Congrats and best of luck.

Well that comment is sure to add another 3 strokes to your game. Hard to hit a ball after getting hit in the head with a frying pan.

    Congrats on the good news!!

I used to play golf every day, but sadly, now that I am retired, I just play all the time.

    Ended to early

I only was able to get in about 45 rounds (I usually play approx 80) this year as I blew out my knee the end of August and have not been able to play since. Hopefully I will be in shape for next season.

    How Many Rounds

    with a 2 and 4 year old,time is a major problem.
    played maybe 15 rounds.
by the way,if time is an issue, with you people with kids like myself,
try thunderbird in kanata.i tee off at 10.00 pm while my familly sleeps.
its only a 9 hole par 3,but it helps with the jonesing!
    good to practice short game.

I played 90 rounds so far but in a week and a half we are going to Santee South Carolina for 9 days and 17 rounds of golf. My goal was to play a 100 rounds this year. Oh so close and yet so far.

17 Rounds ? That may be even too much golf for me.........who am I kidding. Have a good trip! You must have very EARLY morning tee-times to be able to play 36 holes per day given it gets dark earlier.

1st child born March 4, 2003. Played over 80 rounds in 2003 and 2004. How is this possible? An understanding spouse (who is staying home to raise the baby) and all I do besides work and stay home is play golf, no other leisure activities.

In fact, I am presently delaying conception of baby #2 because I'd like to be free for Club Championship in July and any potential intersectional play in september. Pretty sad, huh?

Can my wife talk to your wife

If your wife knows your reasons for delaying for child #2 and she is ok with that, then WOW!

I think she's just happy that we've decided to have another. I have sacrificed all other leisure persuits for golf, and many of my golf outings are between 5pm & 9pm in the mid summer, so its a minimal household disruption. I am by no means an old school dominant husband. My wife is the boss.

The only Intersectional matches played in September are Senior Intersectionals, the day after Labour Day, which means you are over 55 years of age. Starting a family at that age must be quite a challenge.

    Talking 2004 rounds

I have played around 90-100 so far. The fall has been amazing for golf.
I tell my clients I play once a week. What they don't know can't hurt them.
    SH
BTW - I found approximately 6,000 to 7,000 balls this year. Any other ball hawks in this forum?

I clean them and sell them in large quanities to a few local companies. The proceeds go into a education fund for my son. The only draw back is walking into the occasional wasp hive. I am sure I have broken the 100 yard sprint world record several times running from a wasp attacks. I hate wasps!
