Putting - What Stroke Do You Use?

How do you putt and do you think you'd be a better putter if you changed your stroke?

I'm a straight back and through, face-balanced putter kind of guy, and it works very well for me. The feel aspect of my stroke is distance control; I seem to have the most control with the feeling of hitting up on the ball.

    How's your putting?

Straight back and through, and the best tip I tought myself this year was to look at a blade of grass immediately behind the ball through the stroke; helps keep my head still until Im through the ball.

I'm an arc putter, it just feels natural for me and don't think I'd be a better putter if I switched. Granted I think I suck at putting, but still...

Yeah I have certainly seen better...

I like to think that I am SBST type of putter...but I really have no idea.

I played 2 rounds with a guy who had developped a Charles Barkley-esque hitch in his putting stroke. It was tough to watch. He was not putting well.

I'm something different every round on almost every hole all the time. My putting is horrendous.

Maybe you should trim your putter like Garrigus , 28"
I'd probably topple over if i tried to play with it

Gonna try a belly putter this week... can't be any worse than what I am doing now. If that doesn't work maybe I will try the 28 inch putter... but I'm not desparate or anything.

Not sure the exact name of the putting stroke I use, it's the one that avoids the hole, it's either 2 feet short or 6 feet long, and a good 6 inches to either side of the cup...think it's pretty common...but I wouldn't know...I'm no pro.

Straight back and straight through, cross handed, butt of putter grip pressed into left forearm, this locks up the left wrist, no yip's!! make a read, pick my line, it's all weight from there, head still, rotate the shoulders. simple!!!
