What Driver SHAFT Is the BEST You've Ever Used?
I know that it's hard to tell sometimes if it's the head you love (or hate...) or the shaft or the particular combination of shaft/head, but try to narrow it down to what you think is a great shaft for you. Tells us what it is, what flight you are looking for and what flight you got with it.
The main thing about this poll, though, is what manufacturer makes the driver shaft(s) that fit your game the best.
For me there have been two: years back (and I'm not sure if it would work for me now) I loved the Harmon Tour Design HTD CBX in a 400cc tour issue TaylorMade head at 44.5" - high bombs with good swings. Now its an Accra SE80* M5 (X flex) untipped in a Cobra L4V at 44" - super accurate, super feel and reasonable distance.

Best set up I ever used (and that's saying a lot) was a Tour Issued TM R5 10.5* TP w/ Graman Limey UL 540 S-flex at 44.5*. Thing was sooooo long and pretty accurate (for me at least).

I was thinking of adding Graman, SKFibre and others, but I figured there would be few of those, and look, first post and it's Graman! A friend of mine has a 540 in a Bridgestone J33 460 and loves it. Limeys were great, but too soft for me. Too bad I never got a chance to try a 780.

The Accra SE70* installed in my 905R thru bore is prob the smoothest and most stable shaft I've ever hit. Amazing feel with super low tourque.

Yeah, I like that about my SE80*, too: amazing feel with super low torque, which for me translates into an accurate shaft that's fun to hit.

I like my current setup even though i've been told I play the crapiest shaft out there, i have a prolaunch blue plays to 43" i know its short, with an R7 quad head, hit high and straight or baby fade, very predictable.

I will have to say the Diamana Whiteboard. I have it in my 3 wood and FT-9...love the ball flight.

I would say the Accra SE70* for me.
I had it in the original R9TP and recently bought another for my SuperTri TP.
Very tight dispersion and a nice boring flight that rolls out.

Aldila NVS or Graffaloy Epic with a slight nod to the NVS.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Just had an Accra XT60 put into my Mizuno MP600 at 44" Love it!
I have SK Fibre shafts in my FWs...nice to see them mentioned in the threads...very underrated I think

I have used many "best" shafts. BiMatrx, Saber, ProjectX Steel (Yes steel), NV, NVS, ProLite 3.5, AXE, .....
I'd have to say all of them have been good when mated to the particular head that I was using at the time. Then of course the inevitable urge to change it for something "better" comes along and BOOM, new combo in the bag.
Yes, I am a driver shaft ho.Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I'm not sure if it's the lessons from Joe D or a combo of, but my current set up of an NV 55 "R" tipped 3/8'' at 44.5'' with a Wishon 919th is thee best I've ever used.

This week it's the UST Proforce V2 Tour Flight in 44.5 inches, next week it will be something different...
Actually, I used to have a steel shaft in a crappy titanium driver head from Kmart in the States and that shaft was amazing, sad but true. I crushed it with that thing.Obviously you're not a golfer.

I am still playing True Temper Dynamic Gold in my driver...as a concession to age, I have evolved from X100 to S300 to R300.

+1 for the Purple Ice 85S, great shaft. The original UST Proforce 75 was awesome. But the best I've ever used would have to be a Harrison Boron Tour. Solid as a rock.
Oh yeah, the Mercury Kevlar was a great shaft too. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I loved the Purple Ice, too, but hate the colour!! That's the only shaft that actually offends my eyes. Thats why I'm selling mine.

If you love the shaft that much, you can always do this to it.

for some reason no matter what club head its in the old aldila nv in x-flex just launches the ball for me. just flies out there with very little spin. close seconds would be the speeder 757, grafaloy blue, and the matrix mfs 65 (bright orange) that KJ choi used to use.

Some shafts I've played with great success are Speeder 757, Accra SE80, Whiteboard, Rombax 7Z08. I just switched to Matrix shafts in all my woods and hybrids and just love them. I have a TP6HD X tipped 1/4" in a Tour Superfast driver and am hitting it longer and tighter than ever. Pretty sure its a combo of head/shaft but either way this thing is a canon. Great feel through impact compared to some of the other shafts.
