until yesterday i would have said number 11 at rideauview, 185 usually into the wind or a heavy crosswind, bunkers left, right and behind. i say until yesterday because i aced it last night. 185 into a headwind. called it when it came off the club. had to happen on mens night, the general manager was not happy about that bar tab.

9 at Canadian is my nemesis. It's only about 100 yards, but that's one of those tough yardages (for me at least), where I really don't know what to hit. Short is ok, but you go a yard off the green to the left or the back and you are either OB in someone's back yard, or dead in the bushes. to the right you have more bushes, and a bunker that just screams "If you hit this thin, you're ending up OB in that guy's backyard). Hate that hole.

I was saying that it's inappropriate for this course. I would expect to see a hole like that at a 7K yards course, but not at a course like Meadows.

I would say that it's more like a drivable par 4 than a par 3. Compare this to #13 at Stonebridge...

No. 12 at the Marshes gets me everytime, especially when the pin is on the right side of the green and playing from the Blue or Gold tee box....

But #13 at Stonebridge is 30-40 yards longer... making it a hole that a lot of people can't reach off the tee. But it is an easy par 4. The Meadows is a tough par 3.

    Anyways, just a different opinion.

Love that course, and that hole is tough. You just can't miss that green. Tough chip up a steep hill if you miss short, trees guarding the left and right of the green, bunkers guarding right, left and long....very hard hole from any tee.

This made me think of the hardest par 4 on the course too... #14 440 uphill.
Funny how I ran into Allen McGee and said #14 was playing tough. That was yesterday into a 2-3 headwind!
Impossible to get it up the hill to get a look at the flagstick!

I have play Kanata since it was a 9 hole track back 25 years ago. The toughest par 3 is #8 from the gold tees, specially when they put the pin in the back left corner. You can always bail out to the right but the rough is pretty thick and the green is elevated, so it makes for a tough pitch. The fourth hole is a pretty straight forward 200ish yards with no water and no bunkers. I tend to play with some of the better golfers in the area and I dont think that I have ever play with a foursome and have everyone hit the green.

I think Meadows is an underated course. Should be a higher slope rating than Manderley. They really need to rerate this course. It's not a matter of total length of the course....look at ancient pineview, Course rating of 70 for an open course.

Last year I was talking with the owner or manager of Meadows about the rating/slope, and he said the course hasn't been rated in 10 years or so. They had a disagreement with RCGA.

#16 Lombard , anything right or short is dead , 2 tiered green , pretty challenging if you're on top and the pin is on the lower tier.

Totally agree, I live right behind it. Pot bunkers in front, elevated green and it's really shallow. Don't go over or you lose your ball and don't go right because then I get your ball Real target golf here.

Other then that #6 on pakenham island course with the island green from 190 yards. Always an exciting hole to play though.

Whitetail -up in eganville number 17 is no walk in the park from the back it plays about 190 to the back of green and about 150 to front, green very large and not to easy to put on, from elevated tee where the wind wips your ball around to a rather long green surrounded by sand - very eary to walk away with a big number
