New golf tournament organizer who needs help

Hey there everyone. I am "eventplanr". I am a new member here. I am not a huge golfer myself, find it rather frustrating but I keep trying because I love spending time with my husband at the driving range and occasionally on the golf course. I started a new party & event planning company in the fall and decided a great way to get my business to be known would be to host a charity golf tournament. So I am now two weeks away from the big day and the tournament is all ready to roll. We have a great course, amazing food, cool prizes, great activities for on the holes...but not enough players! That's why I'm here. Going to do some golfer direct advertising tomorrow and looking to find out if anyone has any other ideas for finding golfers. I am open to any suggestions. I have a media personality, I've done a press release, I've sent out hundreds of emails (all the golf courses, lawyers, real estate agents, IT companies...), we've put up posters, etc. I'm stumped, I don't know what I'm missing. I have great ideas to make the tournament fun and memorable and I know the tournament will run smoothly but I can't prove it to everyone if they don't show up

Well, as a starting point, this site would have been a good place to advertise.

What is your charity, where is it being played, etc.

Unfortunately I just found out about this site today so I have posted on the calendar and written two posts. I am using the email mail out next. Should go out tomorrow afternoon. The charity is the Ottawa Mission and it is being played at eQuinelle Golf Club. Busy June 16?
