Sharpening of Push-Mower Blades
Anybody know where I could get this done? Not even sure where to look.
Thanks.

You can do it yourself with a grinder, but last night I actually decided to just go to Crappy Tire and buy a new blade instead. The blade for mine was $19, some are as cheap as $12. Not a bad investment every 8+ years. That being said, i was quite surprised when I got it out of the packaging and realized it wasn't much sharper than my original one, if at all.

home hardward does it.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Thanks guys for the suggestions, I'll have a look at CT and HH for replacement blade. I got this thing used and it looks like the blades have never been replaced.

Lee valley Tools sells different kits that you can use to sharpen the blades yourself.

Since I use a reel mower, I can't be bothered with setting up the wheel to sharpen it. Instead, I take it to the Sharpening Shoppe, 333 Catherine St.

If you know anyone that works at a golf course they could probably get it done for you.

If you live near Kanata and it is a gas or electric mower drop me a pm and drop it off and I can do it for you (NC).

Carlo is circling Westboro with his blue truck, ringing his bell. Don't know if you are in the area, but he is.

If you are in the east end you could check/Google Kenny's Small Engine Repairs on Innes @ Orleans Blvd. They advertise sharpening. I've used them in the past, but not for sharpening, so cannot give them a ref on that. Otherwise my experience was fine and not expensive.
