I just called UST Mamiya customer service in Fort Worth, Texas and they were amazingly helpful. I have ordered new shafts for my driver and 3 wood and I called for tipping information and general information and they were really helpful and very informative.
For the record they said OEM shafts are complete junk, but all the shaft companies make them for OEM's, and they all make money from it.
They were way more helpful than some shaft manufacturers.
I won't mention any names.

Imagine that, a company that specializes in aftermarket shafts saying that OEM shafts are complete junk! UST does make excellent shafts, but I don't see the need for pointing fingers.

They make OEM shafts, they admitted it, they also admitted the OEM shafts that they make are junk. They make the shafts to the specs of the OEM company that orders them.
It was a statement of fact, not pointing fingers.
They also admitted they make lots of money from making OEM shafts, as do all other OEM shaft makers.
