The world just keeps changing:

The article fails to mention that she is originally from Montreal.Golf is a game invented by the same people who think music comes out of bagpipes.

I heard about this last week, that she had paid her $4500 and she'd be trying to qualify starting today(19th). Good luck to her. It's going to be tough. Will she make it out of first stage, I doubt it.

A side note to this story:
I checked to see how many Canadians are in the first stage of Q-school.
Only 9, pretty sad in comparison to all other Countries.

don´t think do
There are more than 9 Canadians going to Q School this year...
Only the fields for the first week of Stage 1 are posted...pgatour.com, Tournaments, Q School...it's all right there.
Anyways, not to rag on you, but there are definitely more than 9 guys playing.

When I checked here http://www.pgatour.com/qschool
(first stage Q school) all I came up with was 9 plus Isabelle so that's 10.
When I checked the Sun today it's ten also.
So I was off by 1 unless the PGA is wrong.
Oh yes I see there's more on the Oct. 26-29 (first stage) even if there is another 10 or so. The number is extremely low, that's the point I'm trying to make.

From Score Golf
Isabelle Beisiegel struggled in the first round of the first stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School, firing an 84 at Greg Norman Course at PGA West, La Quinta, Calif. That left the Montreal native in 83rd spot, one place removed from last.
Beisiegel started her round with a couple of pars but then suffered two consecutive double bogeys and struggled from that point although she stated that distance was not a factor in her score.
Several other Canadians were in better shape after the first round. Ben Ferguson, an Australian native living in Ancaster, Ont., was tied for sixth after a round of 70 at the same site as Bieseigel, while Calgary’s Wes Heffernan ws in 45th spot following a round of 75.
In Coral Springs, Fla., Walter Keating of Thunder Bay, Ont., was in 69th spot after an opening 76.
In Dayton, Nev., the top Canadian was Andrew Smeeth of Abbotsford, B.C., who fired a 73 to sit in a tie for 32nd. Chris Baryla of Vernon, B.C., and Ottawa’s Brett Bingham were in 43rd spot after rounds of 74, while Wes Martin of Calgary was 77th following an 81. In Lutz, Fla., Craig Hicks of Tecumseh, Ont., shot a 75 and was the top Canadian, in a tie for 63rd. Olivier Edmond had a 76 to sit in 74th spot while Aurora, Ont.’s Craig Matheson was 77 and in 78th position

info about Canadians...
Just saw on the Canadian Tour website that 11 Canadians have moved on to the second stage of PGA Tour qualifying, including Brad Fritsch, who is from the Ottawa area.
Also add Jon Mills, who is automatically thru to the second stage, and David Hearn, who is exempt to the final stage.
So not too bad for the Canadian boys, eh fireice??
