OttawaGolf Fairway Awards
This year I think we should see who has the best facilities in public golf around here. I have set up a survey so please take a moment and fill it in OttawaGolf Fairway Awards
Fill it in to be eligible to win one of 3 Memberships for 2012 in the ReservationMasters OttawaGolf Club
Remember, this is only for local public courses.Last edited by Kilroy; 04-17-2011 at 01:30 PM.

Since so much time is spent on the forum discussing spring conditions, maybe a "Best Spring Condition" category is warranted...just a thought

"Best spring conditions" is too weather dependant.

how did Eagle Creek sneek into some of the categories if it is not a public course ?
great track but not accessible to most of us these days

a little surprised by the Marshes Greens. I fixed 118 ball marks when I played there this summer....
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Pretty accurate results in my mind-------------now I want to compare this with Flagstick !!!!!!!
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

Hmm... I don't get why so many picked Loch March #1 as the best par 4, I always thought of it as rather ordinary, albeit long. What's so special about it?

I believe I picked Loch March #1 as my favorite par 4. My rationale:
- Elevated tee shot / nice view
- HARD... but fair.
I should add that my scoring average on Loch March #1 is likely much closer to 6 than it is to 4.
I don't get the choice of Outaouais West 9 myself. It's just a gimmicky hole as far as I'm concerned. A long iron off the tee and a wedge or 9-iron into the green. Now... as compared to Outaouais East 9, it's a fantastic hole.

Nation makes a return in the ranks... They we're all over Flagstick as well... It's surprising they we're not in "best conditions" as well since theyre course was in terrific shape all year...

Was at Nation yesterday and told the owner about the awards. he was not aware but 3 other people mentioned it to him and he was quick to print out a sheet and put it on his counter for customers to see.
OG does make a difference and our opinion counts. Good work Dan on organising this.
