    Shaft Flex/CPM Question

Hello club gurus. My friend was recently fitted and the recommendation for shafts was a steel shaft at 305 CPM with a 3" clamp.. With a bit of research online these look like they are going to be rebars!!

Any help in terms of actual flex would be great, they will be at 1.5 inches overlength.

305 with a raw shaft and a 205 tip weight? And if so length of the raw shaft.

I got this here shaft at 41 inches raw and a 205 tip weight labeled as stiff with a 5 inch clamp

3 inch clamp will bring about a lower reading than a 5 inch clamp

    So lots of unanswered here.

Is the clubmaker using a tip weight or the actual iron heads?
And is he measuring/ sugggesting the frequency at the length of a 3 iron or else?

Intersting specs to be fitted with but they don't make any sence to me at all. Perhaps the fitter can chime in an explain a little more in detail what it is he performed to arrive at the 305 number.

I would need more details about the process to give you an answer.

The numbers suggest to me that all irons are Single Frequency Matched to 305 cpm. Could be typical numbers of a Swing Sync assembled set of clubs as Eric used a 3" clamp for his work. A driver swing speed in the vicinity of 105 to 110 mph may see the player with a frequency near 305 for the irons.
