Shaft Profiling - Andre
Just wondering if you have been able to adapt your FA to create a frequency profile of an entire shaft, or are you waiting for the NF4 plans to come out?
My guess is that with the FA that we have the V blocks would require an angle of about 145* instead of 90* in order to clamp the thinner portion of the shaft, securely. If so, then that may put some unwanted pressure on the butt end of the shaft.
Any thoughts?

BC.I am waiting for the Nf4 to come out. However John Kaufman sells an adaptor for that purpose and a 590 gram weight.
André.
UNIVERSAL V BLOCK $30
A new 5" upper V block is available which will allow clamping of any diameter shaft and also make possible the FM Precision CRC short clamping length technique.
With a little imagination I guess we could build one ourselves.See tech note #36.
