    Smile Project Winter Red

Project Winter Red is finally done.
KZG Evolutions irons shafted with new FST 115 shafts, new red ferrules and new GP Tour Wrap 2G grips.
Thanks to Jvincent and Chief for all the help and for answering all my questions.
I absolutely can't wait to play these irons.
The ferrules and grips came out really well. I only have grips on the 3-6 irons, I will finish installing grips on the other 4 irons tomorrow.

Look good. One minor correction though, they weren't the Pro 115s, those are stepless.

Red paint fill might happen later on. I just don't have time right now.
I not sure I have enough patience to do paint fill.

No patience needed for paint fill, it's quick and painless. Just get the pens from golfworks and you are set.

How well do the pens work though?

The first time I tried the pen it didn't work very well for me. Not sure if I didn't prep the heads well or what.

I do the fill and scrape technique now.

I have been swinging them a bit in the basement and I don't think they will be distracting at all. But I will let you know how they are on the course.

Project Winter Red is a total success! I love they way the ball jumps off the face of the KZG Evolutions.. It took a few holes to get used to them but the feel when you hit a flush shot on the face is amazing.
The red ferrules are not distracting at all.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

I finally played a round with these irons and they are amazing. I haven't played a blade in many years. If hit them flush they are incredible, I am sure they will improve my game.

The red ferrules were not distracting at all.
I was mainly concentrating on the ball and trying to hit it flush.

I need to play them more before I use them in matches, they feel very different compared to my Callaway X-22 irons. I did hit a lot greens with the KZG irons though in the first round of use.

Where did you get the ferrules from? I'm looking for some coloured ones.

I was recommended that site by a buddy of mine. How was the shipping costs? Any extra duties or taxes?? How long did take to get them?

    Thanks

I went in on an order with Saint, I don't remember all the details but I think it cost me $10 or $15 for my 12 ferrules with shipping added on.
    Saint would know for sure.
I don't think it was more than 10 or 12 days for delivery.

Update: I sold the GP Tour Wrap 2G grips to a buddy, hated them.
I put on Black Widow Tour Silk White grips and they are amazing.
The KZG Evolutions have now moved into the gamer bag and the Callaway X-22's have been booted to the back up bag. I never thought that would happen.
I played Mississippi last Sunday and played great with these, many chances for birdie and par on the greens. The Scotty Cameron Detour 2.5 let me down every time, 3 putt city, so painful.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

Update 2012: I changed the grips to Lamkin Performance Plus with 3gen and the irons are so much better now, I hated the Black Widow Tour Silks. The KZG Evolution blades are back in the bag again and they are better than ever. If I could learn to putt I would have my cap below 20 again.
I have the FST steel shafts in these blades and they are amazing, so much better than the TT Uniflex crap that came in my Callaway x-22's.
