3DD vs Practice zone
Hello dear optishot users,
I have my optishot since a month ago and found out that in the same conditions (light, alignment, clubs, etc.) in practice zone mode the distances are 15-20 yards longer then in 3DD mode and report roughly the same swing speed. Has anyone noticed the same? If Yes, then which one is more accurate ,3DD or Practice zone and how to align both results?
Thanks,

I tried that last night but found it to be the same? Which was a bit strange because I remember sometime ago I found the same as you that the practice zone produced longer shots!
Not sure why it was different last night?
I find that my 4i-9i I hit a little longer on the course.
The PW,AW and SW are right on.
3 wood is shorter and driver close but maybe also a little shorter out on the course.
Could be I am delofting the irons but I do rarely make any divots?

How would delofting the clubs change the distance on the dd?

The point is it doesn't but I realize I might deloft my irons a little when I am on the real golf course.
Maybe I should take two degrees of the loft in the club setting on the DD?
By the way went out playing and on the real drive range today and it confirmed that my irons are 10 -15% longer in real life than on the DD!
I made a 83 and I have never been under 87 before. The last month I have been training a lot on the DD. 3-5 hours most days for the last 5 weeks.
It really paid off.
Not only was my irons shot longer but also strait apart from one topped ball only other mistakes was that I over shot the greens on the first two holes. The wind was hard 20 to 25 mph but nice, dry and not too hot,
So next project will be working on the woods and the driver, still lacking a lot.

Yes I've noticed that my driver hits go 20-25 yrds longer in the driving range compared to 3DD mode. But also it shows my swing speed slightly higher too. I'm a pretty new golfer so I'm wondering if it has to do with being able to hit a driver back-to-back-to-back compared to getting one chance on the 3DD courses.
