Forum Upgrade
Well that was fun...
As you can see we've upgraded the forum software (and moved it to a new upgraded server). Obviously though, I'm not quite done yet. We were down for 10 hours today and I am burnt out so I put it back up and I'll relax a bit now
I wish I had gotten more done, but the main stuff is working fine. I still have to restore the main OttawaGolf menu to the forums as well as itrader and the What's in the bag icon, and a bunch of under the hood stuff.
We will likely see short downtimes over the next few days. I'll try to keep that to the early hours of the morning. Sorry for any inconvenience, but I am sure this upgrade will be worth it.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

I don't see the golf quotes at the top of the page. Hopefully they come back.

I plan on restoring everything. It will take some time. I didn't want to leave it down any longer than nessesary. I also have the golf show this weekend so it may take a while to get to everything. Please be patient.

Man, the forum looks alot sleeker now. I'm so confused as to what's going on hahaha. I actually really liked the old school look.

Phased in approach is a good move..... I like the changes already... Once all components in place, this site will rock....
Golfing only thing on my mind.......

I find it hard to read and see things because there is so much white and the text is different. Usually takes a while to get use to the changes.

Is there a problem uploading images? I keep getting message not a valid image file..... yet both are .jpg and I was able to load some of the images.

Thanks for your hard work Dan. I love your site and the friendly atmosphere. You deserved a good rest tonight.

I too like the look Dan, though I agree with some of the earlier comments that toning down the brightness of the white background might be easier on the eyes. Save for that point, I love it.

I wanna say I like it, but just find it hard on the eyes.

When I logged into the site yesterday I had to double look at the address bar to make sure I typed it in correctly. haha
I like the look... very clean looking. When it is all set up I can see myself changing the colour scheme a bit as it is a bit too white for me. I love the crisp, clean look though!

while the site looks great! but it very hard to read with the current colors...big turn off. I am having a lot of trouble reading the posts. Specially when you request "What's new page"... it's way too busy.
In the attached picture, I removed the second line on the title.... but if you could use different font side to minimize the second row (instead of removing it)Last edited by 314314; 03-11-2011 at 03:08 PM. Reason: clarify

Another thing that I notice is the PM notification thing is always read so I think I have a PM because it use to show read when you had a PM. Red usually means alert, so maybe another colour unless you actually have mail.
