2500 Dollar Golf Sim
Hi to all !
I am new here and I am a 8 handicap Golfer living in the Italian Alps.
My golf course is only open 4 months of the year due to snow.
I am interested in investing up to 2500 Dollars on a sim to keep my game up to scratch during the period that the course is closed.
My budjet is 2500 Dollars for the simulator excluding projector,Mat,and impact screen.
I have a white archery net- could this be used as an impact screen?
HAppy Golf!
REgards,
Simon

At that price you are looking at an Optishot or a P3pro. Read the reviews before deciding. Good luck.

Has anyone heard of this company ?

I am attracted to the P3ProSwing price wise but I am a little worried that these Sims are toy like compared to the big commercial ones. Am I getting a Simulated experience or a gaming experience with the P3ProSWing.
Sorry for bringing up discussions already started

The Full Swing Golf simulators are toys in a commercial environment. Unless you add the ball spin camera, they are useless IMO. The P3pro will actually help you keep your swing. Sure, it won't show thin or topped shots like the FSG, but when you do hit a thin or topped shot, you know you did it.
Also, FSG starts at $20k I believe.
Read up on GGS, Protee, and Golftek. There are options out there.

The p3pro is a good swing analyser. The drawbacks are taping the drivers and the inability to read thin, topped shots etc. You can integrate to a vector but that will put you well over your budget. The course playability with the p3pro need improvement and I am not sure how much support P3pro are doing about that.

"The course playability with the p3pro need improvement"
Does that mean that as a swing analyser it is an accurate sim(excluding topped and thinned shots) and that it does not convey the path of shots taken on virtual courses acuratly?
Thanks for the prompt replys- this forum is extremely active.

All simulators do just that, simulate golf. The more measurement that is done including the club abd the ball then the better. the P3pro just measures the club and does a good job at that, not perfect but a good job. They have had a difficult time integrating with the virtual courses. I have no idea why that is but the playability of the courses they released was not that great. There are members on this forum that have calibrated and improved the playability for sure.
