There is a very popular Idol-like show in Korea currently that my son is competing in. The only Canadian left...they are in the semi finals, he is having a blast

He played when he was a tike, I thnk he is just taking a hiatus to concentrate on other things
There is a golf angle here... in this stage, they were assigned a partner to perform a duet. His partner here on the guitar actually spends his summers in Canada as an assistant golf pro at a Vancouver club. Tremendous help to my son but unfortunately he did not move on in the competition. My paycheck goes to my dogs.

The contest continues in Seoul, here is a clip from the latest show (becoming uber popular in Korea), with Shayne singing in Korean in front of some musician judges. This effort got him to the top dozen, sounds super smooth, the language doesnt really matter..

well, a quick update and final post to this neat adventure
my son ended up finishing third in this korean idol competition. He now has quite a following in Korea. He signed with Sony Korea, and will have his first Sony release in December. He is back home for a few weeks, and did a quick cover of a korean soundtrack for his youtube channel for his many online fans last night. We managed to keep the dogs quiet long enough for him to perform
Enjoy!
