What grips do you recommend?

a few years ago during golftown's regrip event, I went and changed all my clubs to the golf pride multi compound based on a recommendation from a forum member.

well ... it's the time again ... was just wondering what you guys were using / any recommendations? anything "new" in the grip technology?

for reference, I'm floating between a single and double digit handicap. indexed at 9.8 last year - but am not competitive at all. I simply enjoy golf and play for relaxation (stressful job), hence not really that up to date on technology / newest clubs, etc.

any thoughts would be appreciated!

I am a big fan of the Lamkin N-DUR.

I always used to play cord for the extra tackiness when it got humid but these are just as good.

thanks ... heading to golftown tomorrow - will check these out. I've always been a 'cord' guy myself ... wasn't sre how the lamkin would hold up. good to know!

Lamkin for sure. They are very durable.

I play full chord on my wedges, 1/2 chords on my irons, and 1/4 chord on my woods.

I love the Lamkin Crossline cords, have them on my irons, wedges and even my putter!

I have the golf pride NDMC on my driver 3 wood and hybrid but those are just for looks (purple, pink and yellow) and I could easily switch to full cords on those as well.

The price on the Crossline Cords is excellent as well. They are $9 regular and at half off they are a steal.

Personally I can't stand the NDMC, or cord grips. I like Winn Excel's and the N-DUR's but a lot of people don't like the Winn's. It's pretty personal, it's gotta feel good to you.

I agree..I thinks grips has to be one of the most personal preferences in golf. They can radically change the feel of a club. I use Royal Grips sandwraps (unfortunately no longer available). I would hesitate to recommend grips...just try lots and see what's best for you

I use Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord on everything. I find it a good grip in our often humid conditions, and in rain.

I played the Winn Excels for years on all my clubs, I just bought GolfPride NDMC for the first time at the half price sale at GT for a change of pace.
I want more feedback on my shots.
