Wow.
Well, the fans were screaming for a rebuild, and we sure got one. Hope Elliot does well, but I'm not sad to see him go.Al Gore didn't invent the internet, but he did invent global warming.

If they can sign Anderson before the UFA deadline, it could be the best trade in a while for the Sens. This is the goalie you have been wanting to get for the past 10 years.

Boston Ottawa 7:30pm tonight
If you get to Scotiabank place 30 minutes before the puck drops you can play for the Sens.

LOL, yup just like leclaire was, or was it emery who was, or gerber, or hasek,
Ottawa has a long history of killing goalies and/or bringing in ones who are just not that good, and this is no different. Anderson has played in just about 200 games in 8 years, not what yo wodl call stellar starting numbers, he is competent, but not a solid #1.

Ottawa doesn't kill goalies, they just come here to die.
I don't think anyone is assuming Anderson is suddenly going to become a legit number one guy, but having a 50 shot shutout as his debut is certainly a great way to start.
This whole Ottawa killing goalies thing is pure nonsense though. The goalies that have tanked here have done so because they lack skill, or desire, or both.
Hasek had a .925 save percentage while he was here. That year they had 52 wins, 113 points, were first in their conference, and second overall. Hasek was the best, and also, the only true number one goalie we've ever had.Al Gore didn't invent the internet, but he did invent global warming.

Ottawa has never recognized that the goalies they've had have been "good enough."
From Lalime to Emery, they've clearly played well enough to win. Unfortunately, the Sens' offensive weapons tend to have their butthole pucker in the playoffs, and the scoring dries up. So, the goalies end up having their play scrutinized to an even greater degree than normal, and thus we're graced with gems like "I know he only gave up two goals, but it was the TIMING of the goals that killed us."
Dear gracious lord.

I agree with Sensfan, if I understand him properly. Our goalies (lalime, tugger) have been good enough to make the Cup. Hell Lalime played an unbelieavable playoff series before he was gone. Our "TEAM" has cost us, not the previous goalies. Our window is closed, until 2013 at the earliest.

No love for Anderson!!!! Funny how it goes. Always *ing about not having a good goalie in OTT and now that you finally have one, he is doing his job and nobody is coming back here to congratulating him. Pretty decent stats for a washed-up injury prone #2 goalie.
