2 new greens at Champlain are now open

Hi folks,

Just to let you know if you haven"t golf at Champlain recently that the two new greens are now open!!

These two new greens are at hole #1 ...it's now a par 5 of about 515y.

The second green is at # 13...it was an easy par 4 of 290 y ....now its a par 4 with about 90 - 100 y more!! lots of challenge now!!

So how are they? Seems alot of other places have been opening new holes/courses without them being ready, are the new greens in good shape?

I played there last friday and the greens are OK but the old ones are still part of the fairway .It will take till next year to be really nice........chip

For new greens from this season I consider them in good shape. It's true that the old green are still part of the fairways but this will be replace probably next year.....

An employee told me that they will let them grow and it won't show that there were greens before and the sand traps will just add to the difficulty fo the holes.

Go ahead take a divot. You are allowed. The previous green on #1 is now 100 yds away from the new elevated green.

Thank God. That first hole always had my number. From the tips I made par only a couple of times. It seemed alot farther than its yardage. I parred the the new hole. The 290 yd hole needed something. Are the new tees for 14th open. They were going to be between the two new greens. Otherwise, you will need to watch your back on the next teeoff!!
