JUNE 4TH & 5TH , TRILLIUM WOODS , BELLEVILLE , ONT.

Here we go again gents , the 2011 edition , and the 5th anniversary of this great event .
All who have been before , know how much fun this is and what a great weekend it turns out to be.
So i'm taking the reigns again to organise this on behalf of the Ottawagolf forum team.

First of all , the team who played last year , get first refusal on playing this year.
All other spots are open to anyone on this forum , but the handicap limit is 15.
We need 18 golfers in total (you can bring caddies/wives if you wish)

The way that the remaining spots will be determined (if we have alot of players) will be in a matchplay game , a few weeks before the trip.
Before it was on a "first to reply basis" which is fine , but at this time of the year not everyone is on this site regularly , so i think we will leave the registration open for a couple of months and see what the response is.

Secondly for those who want to play , i will need a deposit up front .
I'm asking for a cheque , post dated for May 14th for $100 , which will be put towards your green fees for the event.
The reason being that we had a lot of people drop out before last years event , which caused alot of problems , we don't want to be put in the same predicament this time around.
If you comitt but can't make it , it will be up to you to find a replacement , if its something beyond your control , of course you'll get your money back.

Third , i won't be the "reluctant captain" this time around , this position is open to all previous attendees (for any year) , the majority vote gets the captaincy.
I'll help organise the event , it will be up to the captain to organise team selection and match-ups.

I'll update the thread regularly for all who register.

In these situations, I can't be tepid and stick my toes in the water. I will put my best foot forward. I'll be a good foot soldier. From now till then, I'll work on my balance, concentration, footwork to accomplish the goal of defeeting TGN.

I know you weren't happy with your play last year, especially on Sunday, and i am sure that the memories will help motivate you to ensure it doesn't repeat...

i look forward to seeing you again this year, and maybe even playing a round, which would no doubt see me at the end giving you or Bob some of my money...lol...

Don't worry. I was laughing. As for last year, I was pleased with my play during the team component, but very didappointed with my singles play. It was awful, and especially so given my opponents high level of play.

I too look forward to playing with you this year. However, if I keep three putting as I am doing now, I will not be giving any strokes.

That was an interesting day.

You should join us in Belleville. It's a great time. As for my cap it continues to climb. It's at 5 right now, though I am working on a move to bring the club path more from the inside. Since I tend to do most of my practice on the course, that may explain a bit of the climb. However, that doesn't explain the inability to read these greens. It will come around, I am sure. With golfers, hope springs eternal.
