Adjustment to Mat Hitting? Dancing Dogg

Hi all...I have just recently gotten the DD in my garage (had for a few days) and so far have enjoyed it. Experienced much of the same issues as you all with my woods but that is not the main reason I got it...wanted to improve iron play. Question, for most of you did it take an adjustment period to get used to hitting off the DD pad indoors? The thing seems very sturdy but there is just a part of me that is afraid to really "get after it". I am pretty sure this is effecting my swing as I think the machine seems to be fairly accurate in the data. Over time, did any of you start to feel more comfortable hitting off the pad and not really thinking about it when you played? Curious as to whether others experienced the same thing and were able to conquer this fear BTW, I have a mat to stand on that is coming in the mail and will make me level with the DD pad Thanks for all the information you have provided!!

The problem with dd is that it is like hitting off of a tight fairway lie. If you don't pick it cleanly you will loose distance just like a chunked shot. I hit the ball best when I relax and swing freely forgeting about the pad. You have to clear your mind of negative thoughts.

For me it was the same. Still is I work away from home for 10 weeks, when I get home I spend a few hours getting used to hitting indoors again.
Some where else somebody also talked about warming up. I have never done that but will in the future. Not sure why I never even thought about that when I play the simulator!

Cheers, Bubba. I am doing fine. I am playing once a week on the sim and really enjoying it. I am impatient waiting to see what DD has in store at the PGA show Keep up the good advice on the board here.
