Real or Fake?
http://stores.ebay.ca/tee2green6931/...sub=1603001017
Check the link. This seller is listed as a Power Seller, has an ebay store, and over 3500 sales with 99.9% approval rating. My question is: How can he afford to sell multipe *new* Scotty Cameron putters at $100-$150 less than retail?
I am considering making a purchase but would like some feedback from some of the Scotty "experts" on the board.
PM me or post here.
Thanks...

The Scotty's he is selling look legit to me, but I am far from a Scotty Cameron expert.
That high a sellers rating and that many transactions sounds promising.Obviously you're not a golfer.

Look real enough to my eye. perhaps this is whats known as stock liquidation. if the sale of Acushnet goes through and cameron goes elsewhere, then perhaps these mainstream putters become clearance items if you will. Imagine if Nike and TW were to part ways, there would be a massive sell off of all the Nike TW branded stuff just to clear all new old stock. makes sense to me.
I would be tempted to pick one up, you will always have comeback and buyer protection through paypal if they are not legit or being sold as something that they are not. Ask the seller to confirm in email that they are legit and you'll be covered. Gotta like a brand new Fastback at used club prices.

The California series has been a bit of a retail dud. The Studio Selects seem to sell a lot better. Maybe as Liam says, just blowing out some stock. They aren't losing money at that price.

You would need to see better pictures of the engravings on the face, back and sole to getter a better idea of its authenticity. Having said that, from the picture in the link, it looks like the only differences from "original" are the paintfill and it also looks to have been torched to give it that golden colour.
Like I said better pictures would help though. Not easy to say with any certainty if it's genuine or fake.

when I was buying I signed up to www.cameroncollector.com as there are a bunch of collectors there. Got warned of a bad deal and saved some money.
