    Trying to compare

I'm looking at Golftek vs GGS and comparing what they use to measure but still a little confused.

It looks like both systems use the shadow method for measurement. Golftek has sensors that measure the ball ( "what" speed, spin, angle ) and st1-2 gives you 2 courses.

GGS. What is the difference between the PX1-PX2. They also have mat sensors, speed sensor and camera possibilities. Just looking at basic cost.

ZMAX where did you find the prices for the separate items to build yourself.

Golftek has the Pro& and the st1. Neither measure spin. Only the Pro 7 measures launch as the st1 doesn't measure the launch angle. The st1 is their basic entry level sim that measures the club and ball direction (azumuth) and speed but not spin or launch. Pro7 is obviously better and more expensive.

The difference between the px1 and the px2 is the type of grass top from what I can see.

One thing for sure is that the GSA websites are very confusing. I Think the sensor mat with a single cam is a good option. I am not sure what mat or whether that includes a ball sensor. I assume the cam is only for ball launch and speed but not direction. As well what is the cost? I am still awating the release of the ADX.

The cam can be used for H-ball or V-ball or club track I believe.

V-ball is what I'm doing first. I doubt that I'll need club or H-ball cam.

I don't think these products are available yet. If/when they are developed then they will probably be a shadow based angled sensors to detect the ball launch angle.

    $1299 for VX1 OEM and $1799 for VX2 OEM

Not sure if these come with the OEM kit.

Has anybody asked Martin if his LA cam could be replaced with a PS3 cam? That would lower the cost considerable.

Anything is possible. I am sure that it could easily be replaced by the ps3eye cam. Whether or not Martin wants to go down that route is the question. I have been saying all along how good a cam it is given its 120 fps. It will have limited zoom potential and therefore the appropriate distance setup will be neccessary. Good one to ask though.
