Pearle Vision? Sears Optical?
I'm in the market for new glasses, and its been a few years. Holy crap have lenses gotten expensive! I'm trying to save myself some money, and places like Sears and Pearle Vision always seem to have half off deals etc. I usually try to stick to small independent stores for my glasses...they always seem to do a good job, and I had troubles the one time i went to a chain. Just wondering if anyone has comments (positive or negative) about either Pearl Vision or Sears (particularly the ones in Carlingwood). Thanks

My Mom used to go to Sears Optical and really liked them. Now though, we go to Costco Optical for our glasses, prices and quality are amazing.

You should check out www.clearlycontacts.ca. The wife and I have been ordering out glasses there for the last couple of years. In town, the cheapest I can get lens and frames is about $400, sometimes upto $600. My last pair from clearly came up to $110. My wifes last pair came up to $60. Ridicules low prices, and couldn't be happier with the quality.

Thanks Instinct, I just spent some time on the website and then just called clearlycontacts.ca and talked to customer service about ordering some new glasses. Very helpful and prices are amazing. I may just order new glasses tonight.

Costco is great value. Both my kids have glasses from them - excellent service. The selection of frames may not be huge, but the price is excellent.

2nd clearlycontacts.ca - search for Clearly Contacts Coupon Code once and awhile, I found a one day 2 for 1 event and got 2 pairs of single vision for around $80.
FYI when you get your perscription ask the doctor to measure your PD (pupillary distance)
A coworker buys from goggles4U.com and he's been very pleased and they're even cheaper. I like that Clearly Contacts is Canadian.Last edited by Strangebrew; 12-17-2010 at 08:56 AM. Reason: me fail english? that's unpossible

If you are sure of your prescription & measurements, try out the online stores...there are places operating out of India where you are looking @ 20-40$/set. I've never tried it but know of ppl that swear by it.
