    Simulators accuracy ?

Hello, I'm new on this forum. I'm speak french, so be indulgent !

I want to buy a P3Pro, or maybe a Vector in second hand.

Is there somebody who have already verify the accuracy by playing on the practice with the simulator, and directly compare the simulation and where the ball goes ?

For more accuracy a launch monitor would be better. The p3pro is a very accurate machine for club analysis however it doesn't measure the ball unless you add a ball sensor. They have a webcam for ball launch but not direction. They will be integrating with the Vector launch machine which will greatly improve the accuracy. What are you looking to do with the sim?

Practice ! I like to try different swings and want to know exactly what they do : how long face is square, swing path, clubhead speed, ...

Do you test your P3 on the practice range ?

No. Testing on and outdoor range would be difficult due to the lighting. For club analysis like you are looking it is very accurate. If you want ball analysis like spin, speed, launch it is not as accurate unless you get the launch add on or the integration with the launch monitor.

QUESTION??? i use the DD , and have posted before that i have accuracy issues ... but, your post above mentions securing the device to the floor. I haven't done that ... if i hit fat the unit will move around even though its inside a cutout of the mat.

Would this cause major accuracy issues? (i'm sure i probably know the answer but thought i'd ask anyway).

Where would i get velcro with a glue side for a garage floor setup?

    thanks as always.

I have the same setup for dd. I do not have any issues with accuracy and do not have the unit velcroed down to the floor.

For any sensor based unit, you don't want the sensor mat moving as this will give some error in your swing path and face angle measurements. Just make sure your pad is aligned well and secure.

    Thanks, I order a P3Pro with GrassTop.
For the launch angle, I'll wait the GSA integration.

I'll have to buy a impact screen, but temporarily, is it accurate with foam balls ?

It is accurate with foam balls. look at the limited flight balls for sure. there are several good ones like the almost ball, brush t ball, Cayman ball. I did a review earlier http://forum.ottawagolf.com/showthre...cayman&page=77.

I do think the p3pro courses will sell better if the launch angle was integrated. There seems to be a lot of people that are waiting for the launch integration. the courses are really quite nice and fun to play even without the launch measurement. It just would be better if the launch option was available.
