    Couple of questions

Do most or any of the home simulators include angle of attack?
What do they use for the ball flight laws?

The p3pro does have angle of attack as well as club heights through impact and heel/toe heights. It is very accurate and once you understand the their meaning you can really analyze each swing with respect to not only clubface and path but also how shallow or steep the swing, how far you are away from the ball and whether your toe up or toe down through impact. Great for clubfitters. There is no way of knowing what any sim is using for flight laws.

The p3pro will estimate spin, ball direction/speed and launch (unless you have their launch measurement add on) and use their algorythms to determine ball flight. What those equations are is unknown. The fact is the more ball measurements that are known, the better. Not knowing spin is important for the accuracy however to measure spin will put the cost in a different bracket than the dd, p3pro, st1 and even the pro7. How important is spin for the home user and the accuracy of the sim? That is really a tough one. Some would say spin is the "Holy Grail" of indoor golf and the most important info. I personally am happy with estimating spin. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a unit that measured spin and other ball characteristics. It would be an amazing test to hit with the dd/p3pro/pro7 etc and the gc2 simultaneously to see the difference. There probably would be a difference based on the ball, club loft etc. How much is the question. When the p3pro integrates with the Velocity that would be a great opportunity to upgrade to include spin for the clubfitters/pros and avid golfers who want extreme accuracy. You can debate what launch monitor is the best but that is another topic in itself.

No problem. The various sims will measure and estimate data. They then have formulas (probably all different) dependng on the software that determine the ball flight. The dd is the most basic and works well but has limited data and accuracy. The p3pro and st1 are probably in the same class as far as accuracy goes. Next jump would be the pro7 and so forth. Are you looking at a sim goley?
